save a friendship, avoid this...
Humans are curious creatures. Who hasn’t wanted to ask a friend about her new purchase or change in her appearance?
Is that really a Gucci handbag or a knock off?
Did she get implants?
Botox?
Sure we want to ask... but we don’t. Because anyone over the age of four knows it’s not polite to put another woman on the spot. Wait, don’t they?
In a post titled, 10 Style and Beauty Questions You Should Never Ask a Woman, our friends at Café Mom highlight those off-limit questions and suggest you steer clear of those privacy-invading, pushy questions, no matter how close you might think your friendship is. My personal favorite is the dreaded, “Are you pregnant?” That one stings even more so when you’ve clearly just returned from a vacation of rich foods and a few Mai Tais. It's always best to follow the golden rule, unless you see the baby crowning, avoid the invasive inquiry.
