This year, Friend of Ricki Heather Frey, fitness expert and founder of Smashfit.com, is sharing her secrets to starting, continuing and achieving your health and body goals, making 2013 the year we all finally make it happen! 

Everyone wants the tight bod. Everyone wants super health and energy. Everyone knows they need to eat better. Everyone knows they need to exercise. Everyone knows what they shouldn't eat.

And yet they don't do it. You don't do it. While all the information you need is at the touch of a keyboard, getting started can be hard and just plain confusing. Trying to figure out where to start, how to start, what to start with… it's easy to put it off. Kids, work, school, life, start to cover your true you until you feel too buried to dig out.

But it's time for you!

Welcome to the Change Challenge!

The Change Challenge is going to change and transform you one little change at a time. Yes, I said "little". Because it's not a giant step that gets you up a mountain, it's all the small ones added together. Some changes will come easily, some will be more challenging—but ALL of them will feel great and LOOK great on you!

The Change Challenge is a step by step STEP into your new bod and your new life.

The Change Challenge is different from other fitness challenges in that it takes the focus away from the scale and puts the emphasis on what it is you need to DO to reach your goals. Don't let the scale rule your motivation because the goal is really to be smaller, tighter, fitter, not just to lose pounds. You will begin by making small, manageable, maintainable changes and when you make these changes week to week, your body will have no choice BUT to change. Your primary focus will be on your choices and actions… not the scale.

ALL Change starts in your mind. 

You don't just want to lose weight (though that might be the motivation), you want to keep it off. You want a cool bod, and the health to go with it. Change comes from shifting thoughts, and shifting thoughts changes habits.  The Change Challenge isn't just going to tell you what to do, it's going to teach you how to re-think your day, plan your time, and retrain your brain.

There are 5 phases, each lasting 2 weeks. Each phase includes:

Elimination - taking away foods your body doesn't need

Adding - adding foods your body does need

Habit Shift - shifting wrong habits to right ones

Move - exercise!

In every phase there will be information, motivation, education and tons of support! There will also be sheets to download so you can keep track of your day and your progress. Plus, I and my team of experts will be there every step of the way!

As hard as it is to start, starting is only temporary. The quicker you push through hard the quicker you get to easy. And it does get easier! In a short time, those new habits that took so much effort will now take no thought at all. It will just "be". You don't need to tell yourself to shower or brush your teeth, you just do it; it's just part of how you live.

It's time for you. Challenge yourself to Change and live the life you're meant to.
