From around the web, posts, tweets and status updates that caught our attention this week.
On Facebook, comedian Tammy Pescatelli (@TammyPescatelli) sets goals for 2013: This is the year that I vow to abdicate mediocrity. Status quo is not sufficient and being average will mean surrender. I want the absolute best for myself and for those that I love. I will push harder. I will dream bigger and help people to follow their dreams. I will reach out and pull others up. I will stand in the gap for those who have no voice. I will remember to be grateful, for what is and for what will be. I will take in moments. I will make a conscious effort to love harder and fear only not trying. I will make happiness a daily choice. And above all else, I will encourage myself and others to "Find the Funny." #FTF
On ToriGaga.com, Michelle (@Mamabaquita) shares her feelings about 2012, which included helping her seven-year-old daughter Tori fight neurofibromatosis: And in the end, here's what I can say about 2012... It didn't beat me. There were so many days of absolute heartbreak. I learned so much about my own courage, and I learned so much about how to be brave from watching Tori. When it seemed that all was lost and I couldn't keep going...I kept going. We all kept going....through all of the long days, the weeks of chemo, the months of uncertainty and this year of struggle. But we made it and we met some amazing people along the way. I will always remember this year...the good and the bad and the terrible and the inspiring and the terrifying and the beautiful...and be grateful.
