When looking for interesting holidays, significant dates in history, and a variety of obscure celebrations, our trusty printable teacher's calendar comes in handy. Without it, we'd be in the dark when it comes to important dates like International Chocolate Day (9/13), Step Family Day (9/16) and International Blog Day—which happens to be today! In celebration of IBD, Ricki and her team weigh in on their favorite online reads. 

Ricki Lake A self-proclaimed "Twitterholic," Ricki is the first to admit she's a wee bit addicted to social media. But while the conversation gets her to log on, it's the content that keeps her engaged. "What I love about Blogher is the element of discovery. I'll log on to check out a story that interests me, then end up getting lost in some amazing blog I've never even heard of. Two minutes later I'm finding my new BFF on Twitter and including even more new friends in the conversation. It's the level of honesty, authenticity and humor I find really addicting."

Team Ricki Ianthe (who even has her own #fashianthe hashtag on Twitter) says, "One of my favorite blogs is Elements of Style Blog and another fave blog is Fashionably Bombed."

Team Ricki Mariam "Dlisted.com…Michael K. is a genius!"

Team Ricki Jackie loves reading Lisa Belkin and the team at HuffPost Parents. And for honest and raw posts about personal experiences dealing with parenting, relationships and the "ever-relatable world of weight struggles," she says "JoyUnexpected.com is the first place I go."

Team Ricki Robin enjoys a little controversy on occasion. "STFUParentsBlog.com – that's definitely a favorite. Also – I love The Book of Moron." Can you say guilty pleasure?

Team Ricki Tracy is a loyal follower. "I feel like I'm blue in the face about this one, but I love The Pioneer Woman. She's my fave."

Team Ricki JDF loves the pooches over at Dog Shame. "Dog shame is my fave for a quick laugh and I just love pictures of dogs!"

Team Ricki Jarrett Even if they make me look like a complete nerd? I love NewsCastStudio.com, I get their weekly update and it’s like giving a little kid candy.

Team Ricki Jess says "My favorite blog would have to be Gilt Groupe.”

Team Rick Bryan can't choose just one. Not only does he keep up with posts from the founding Friends of Ricki and says, "I love finding new Friends of Ricki blogs everyday."

Team Ricki Faith enjoys catching up with "NecoleBitchie.com— for gossip." And for beauty and style, Faith heads over to KisforKinky.com.
