15 year-old's answer to teen angst: "everyone needs to be heard"

At just 15 years old, Noah St. John won the Youth Speaks Grand Slam Championship and NPR Snap Judgment Performance of the Year, reciting a passionate story he wrote about the breakup of his two moms.
Noah performs that spoken word on the "Are Gay Parents Different?" episode of The Ricki Lake Show [airing 2/21].

After the show, Noah shares his feelings about writing and speaking and how he believes its an effective outlet for all teens. "So many youth just don't have a place where they can be heard," St. John tells TheRickiLakeShow.com.
