Relationships

let's talk about sex (episode guide)

From polyamory to swinging, Americans are engaging in alternate lifestyles more than ever. Join Ricki, some adventurous guests, and an all-star panel of sexual experts for a frank conversation about what turns us on. Plus, looking to spice things up in the bedroom, but are too embarrassed to visit a sex shop? We've got your Fifty Shades of Grey demo, Ricki Lake style.

After you see today's show, share you questions and comments for all our guests below!

First, we venture into the world of polyamory, defined as "the practice, desire or acceptance of having more than one intimate relationship at a time with the knowledge and consent of everyone involved. You'll meet Kamala and Michael, who say a polyamorous lifestyle works for them... and Elizabeth, who says polyamory ruined her marriage.

Kamala and Michael's Rules for Polyamory

1. Do no harm

2. Only have relationships who enhance the lives of everyone involved

3. Safe sex

4. Honesty According to Michael, the most important of all the rules.

Could you ever engage in a polyamorous relationship? Let's talk in the comments.

Then, Ricki could never do a sex show without her next guest. Meet the founder of MakeLoveNotPorn.com, the brilliant and provocative Cindy Gallup. Cindy, who feels the current 24/7 free access to pornography is doing a huge disservice to young people, teaching them that sex should be like what they see on the screen and not what happens in real life. "Real world sex is more innovative, more creative, more surprising, more arousing and more hot than porn will ever be." Cindy's brand new project MakeLoveNotPorn.TV invites "real world" people to upload their own sex videos, sharing them with others and starting a conversation about sex.

Would you ever share your own sex life on tape? Sound off!

Plus, have you ever wondered what life is like behind the doors of a swingers club? Ricki sends her friend, and host of After Ricki, on a field trip he'll never forget.

Have you heard of "Swing"? No, we're not talking about the equipment for kids... but it is known as an adult playground. Michael and fiance' Holli, who you may recognize from Playboy TV's reality show, "Swing," are here to talk about their life as happily committed swingers. Guests Violette and Dee couldn't agree more. Married eight years, swinging for seven of them, Violette and Dee say they could never go back to what they call, a “vanilla” lifestyle. And just when you think swinging is solely a couples' sport, meet single swinger, Drew.

Meet our sexperts:

Dan Savage journalist, columnist and star of MTV's SavageU, made headlines when he spoke out about marriage and the virtues of infidelity. “I acknowledge the advantages of monogamy,” Savage told NY Times Magazine writer Mark Oppenheimer, “when it comes to sexual safety, infections, emotional safety, paternity assurances. But people in monogamous relationships have to be willing to meet me a quarter of the way and acknowledge the drawbacks of monogamy around boredom, despair, lack of variety, sexual death and being taken for granted.”

Do you agree that we need a little less fidelity in marriage? Comment below.

Psychosexual and relationship expert Simone Bienne, co-host of Loveline with Dr. Drew Pinsky, is all for men and women bringing their inner sexual fantasies out, but warns couples to really think about it before adding another person to the relationship. "How do you feel about the fact that there could be a woman pleasuring your partner (and vice versa) more than the person you are mainly sharing your bed with?"
